While in Memphis Tennessee in 2023, I learned how significant gingko trees were to locals. This made me realize that even though a species isn’t native to an area, people can still have a strong emotional attachment to it.

The background collage of vintage stamps consists mainly of an old ship stamp which represents the journey the Ginkgo tree took to arrive in North America. This plant is over 250 million years ago, essentially making it a fossil.
